John Bobbie does not only share the same initials with his sister but also her behavior of not interacting with me during my time spent with them.  

All John Bobbie does is tell everyone about his perpetual itchy throat. His seemingly boneless frame remains flooded with a mush of sweet red substance and minuscule doodads penetrating every pore. Even a slight breeze of wind rearranges John Bobbie's face.

Raymond describes John Bobbie — in a manner of a father that wants to disown his son — as "a problematic boy who used the family name to jam his manhood into what is not his."
